A respected national law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join its growing St. Louis office. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with a strong defense litigation background who is looking to work on sophisticated matters in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Handle litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Manage all phases of discovery, including written discovery, depositions, and motion practice.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Attend hearings, mediations, and court appearances.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and colleagues.
• Collaborate with attorneys across multiple practice groups and offices.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Missouri bar admission required.
• Illinois bar admission preferred.
• 5+ years of defense litigation experience.
• Experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Employment litigation
  • Construction defect litigation
  • General liability defense
• Strong analytical, writing, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to independently manage files while working effectively within a team environment.
• Self-starter with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $105,000 - $150,000, commensurate with experience.
